As part of the Province of B.C.’s Steveston Interchange Project, which will expand the interchange from two to five lanes, crews will continue geotechnical investigations in the project area. Geotechnical investigations involve drilling boreholes to gather important information about soil conditions. Crews will work in the areas surrounding the Highway 99 southbound HOV/bus lane, Highway 99 eastbound to northbound on-ramp, and near the bridge approaches on Steveston Highway. This work will require a hydrovac truck and track-mounted drill rig equipment. Work will be completed overnight to minimize traffic impacts on Highway 99 and Steveston Highway.
